Depot Days in Brooklyn is a heritage festival celebrating the role that the railroad played in the development of the community dating back to 1861. In our 13th year a lot has changed. All activities are taking place in Brooklyn Wisconsin only. Brooklyn has remained as a location of activities for the young and old alike.

NEW, Geo "Caching" on the Rails. A GPS based game to find your Poker Showdown hand. Register your 5 card hand and the winning one each day receives a prize. Get the bonus cache and receive a raffle ticket for this year's train set. Pick up your coordinates at our main site in the community building at 102 N. Rutland. Don't forget your GPS device which can include, cell phones, IPods, Blackberries, etc. For all the details see communities page.

Enjoy the natural areas around Brooklyn with your Nature Passport, complete your birding checklist with local migratory birds. We supply a map directing you to three different bird habitats including state, federal and public lands. Also included is information on the Brooklyn section of the Ice Age Trail and more nature activities for young and old alike.
We have continued with our exciting and interactive events to make our spring festival the best way to get out and beat the winter blues. During the last weekend of April, one can see and interact with hobbyists layouts of model railroads. NEW LAYOUT- Roger Bartell's amazing recreation of the Janesville to Monroe rail line. It takes you from Milwaukee Road ownership to WI Southern, featuring a detailed replica of the Brodhead Depot and park, Juda and more. The kids will enjoy playing with a wooden train set on a panoramic train table. Plenty of local foods, a bargain hunter's dream with city-wide garage sales.
Speeder Car Rides on the C&NW rail line !!
Once a year you can take a ride on the working cars of the railroad. Tickets on sale both days at the railroad tracks downtown. Adults $6, children 12 and under $3. Advance tickets are available at the site during festival.
New raffle prize this Year !
Wooden Railroad wooden train set by Maxim Enterprises. 145 piece wooden train set includes; 3-3 car freight train, multiple bridges and elevated track, round house, construction vehicles and accessories, road layout for vehicles and many more people, signs and trees. The $5 ticket price includes the 2009 collector's button. Tickets on sale advance of the festival at The Market Place and Bank of Brooklyn in downtown Brooklyn. During the festival at the main site in the community building and at the speeder car ticket booth on Hwy 92. Just the annual collector's button is available for $2. Thanks to everyone that attended last year's events. We all were very glad that so many people came out on such a nice weekend and we are looking forward to see you all back in Brooklyn this year.
